CLEAR REPAIR by GIA SKINCARE

One of my best twiiter friends Gia of @giaskincare has a fab skincare line. I use many of her products and have written about them before.

  • Tonight I used this > clear repair and thought I would pass along.

Clear Repair is a spot treatment for blemshes. Yes, I still get pimples, bumps or blemishes. :(
This drying lotion reduces inflammation and can shrink blemishes over night. You can use Clear Repair for chest and back acne and it takes the itch out of bug bites, too!

To use: Before bed, after cleansing, apply a dab of Clear Repair with a q-tip. Let dry and wash off in the morning. Do NOT shake bottle and apply only the pink sediment.

You may purchase any of Gia's products here: giaskincare.com

BANANA BREAD FOR YOUR FACE {MOTW}

I enjoy DIY homemade facial masques and will try to share one with you each week.
MOTW- Masque of the Week
Banana bread is yummo and a banana bread masque sounds like fun! I found a few recipe variations but picked this one to share with you:

BANANA BREAD MASQUE

1/2 very ripe banana, mashed
2 TBSP ground oats
milk or cream, add as necessary
pinch of nutmeg
2 TBSP whole wheat flour

To make ground oats- place rolled oats in a blender and grind until fine powder.
Whip ingredients together, adding cream or oats to create a creamy paste consistency. Apply to clean face and rinse after 5 to 10 minutes, pat skin dry.
This mixture is perishable, use right away.

The bananas are moisturizing, oats are soothing, milk or cream is softening, nutmeg is an antiseptic and flour is an antioxidant.

enjoy :)

MY NATURAL NAILS

I no longer have acrylic nails, I had them removed last week. Now I have my own "natural" fingernails. They are weak and flimsy since I had acrylic on them for over a year. I purchased a natural nail strengthener from Ulta yesterday and some Hair, Skin and Nails vitamins that contain Biotin.

I have a fun nail technician who creates the coolest designs with acrylic nail powder. He custom mixes his powders and uses many original techniques. Here is an picture of acrylic powders:

Here is a picture of what my nails looked like:

And here are my natural nails:

I was surprised my nails were this long! I hope with a little TLC my nails will be a perfect ten.
