Body Sugaring. The New Smooth

Alexandria Professional has developed a unique process for the removal of unwanted body and facial hair. It is called "advanced body sugaring," and their classes/training/certification & products site is HERE

What is the difference between waxing and sugaring?

1.  Waxing products for legs, faces and bodies adhere to skin cells. Wax products are made of resins which adhere to skin cells. Wax sticks to any surface it is applied to, pulling it away cause unwarranted discomfort. Sugaring products never adhere to live skin cells on legs, face or body. When it is removed, it only gently exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving behind freshened skin.

2.  When waxing legs and bodies, you remove the hair against the natural direction of growth. Waxing faces, legs or other areas pulls hair against its natural direction of growth causing undue levels of pain. With Alexandria Professional's sugaring method, you only remove the hair in the natural direction of the  hair growth.

These 2 facts alone make a world of difference in your comfort level.

Alexandria Professional Sugaring Paste is all natural. It's ingredients are sugar, water and lemon. That's it. You can even eat it (I have tasted it!).

Waxing requires hot wax and risks burning sensitive areas. Sugaring is done at body temperature. Sugaring treatment adheres to the hair, not the skin, and lubricates the root providing easier removal from the follicle.

Sugaring extracts all hair colors and textures, eliminates ingrown hairs, prevents new ingrown hairs and improves skin tone and texture. Sugaring will not burn the skin, promote cross contamination or damage the dermal cells.

I have used this method of hair removal for 10 years. I have had several body parts "sugared" and have even served as a teacher's model for students to practice their technique. Body sugaring is quick, mostly painless and great for the bikini area. Everyone wants to be hair-free and smooth during the summer months (I like it year round).

  2. I got tired of waxing so I did laser hair removal. It's been great, but I do have to shave every 3 or 4 months. I'm going to look into this sugaring stuff because it sounds very cool (literally and figuratively). Thanks for sharing this with us!
